Support for Windows 10
Support for Windows 10 will end on October 14th 2025 and if your computer was manufactured before 2018 you may find it is not compatible for an upgrade to Windows 11.
When support for Windows 10 comes to an end and Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates, technical assistance, or security fixes for the 10 year old operating system. Your PC will continue to work, but the lack of updates could leave you vulnerable and at risk of being attacked or data loss.
At Sigma Office, we are actively upgrading our customers to Windows 11 and where necessary, providing newer hardware to support it. Windows 11 offers an improved user interface, enhanced security features, better performance on newer hardware, integrated AI functionalities, and a more modern look and feel compared to Windows 10, which can be customised to ease your transition.
Computer Hardware
Computer hardware released from 2018 on wards can be upgraded to Windows 11 for free (assuming all system requirements are met), the ‘Microsoft PC Health Check App’ will analyse your computer for compatibility and tell you of any issues. This app can be downloaded directly from Microsoft by clicking here.

Am I using Windows 10?
To determine which versions of Windows you are using, follow these easy steps below:
1. Using your mouse, Right Click the ‘Start’ button and select ‘Run’ using the mouse left click
2. In the Run box which appears, type in ‘winver’ as per the picture below and click ‘OK’
3. The version of Windows you are using will appear in a dialog box similar to the one pictured below. This will give you the information on what windows version you are using as well as what the build version you have installed. Click OK to close it.
Using Windows 10
If you are using Windows 10, it is recommended to upgrade before October 14th 2025. Give us a call at Sigma Office to discuss your options. We can analyse your existing hardware to check compatibility, confirm your hard drive is healthy and assist you with an upgrade OR we can provide you a quotation to supply you with a new computer and to move your data (including emails) from one computer to another. We can also demonstrate all the new features of Windows 11 to keep you going.
Older Applications
Some older applications are now also out of support. Updated or alternative programs may be required to work with Windows 11. With years of experience in data migration, we can provide you with the best solutions to your modern computing requirements.
